Significant Milestone with Our Father

“It was a moment of immense pride to share this significant milestone with our father, Rodney O’Neil, a man who dedicated his entire working life to the quarry industry. Last week, we celebrated the accomplishment of supplying the main runway material for the Western Sydney Airport project, which is now completed and stands ready for the final layer of asphalt.”

Over the past nine months, our Gunlake Marulan quarry has supplied over 400,000 tonnes of highly specified material that was essential for the runway’s construction. This achievement is credit to the vision and commitment of the whole Gunlake Group and our extraordinary Quarry Team. It hasn’t been without its share of challenges, but it stands as a solid example of teamwork, dedication, and the collaborative efforts of some of the finest minds in our industry, all coming together to deliver a monumental piece of infrastructure for our generation.

A special mention to the CPB/ACCIONA JV Team. Their commitment is a prime example of how supplier and contractor cooperation can overcome obstacles, especially during one of the most challenging periods our industry has faced and it’s an honour for Gunlake Group to have played a role in its construction.
