Midtown MacPark

Midtown MacPark’s Community Centre and Village Green gives the growing Midtown precinct in Macquarie Park a new home for recreation and community life. The three-storey facility houses a pool, gymnasium, community rooms and a café, opening onto a landscaped Village Green and playground.

Gunlake Concrete partnered with Grindley Construction to supply 1,900m³ of concrete for the project. Alongside S40MPa off-form concrete, Gunlake supplied BlueStar Plus low carbon concrete, reducing embodied carbon across the project by 35%.

The project reflects Gunlake’s commitment to lower carbon construction, helping create an enduring community space for Macquarie Park residents and visitors.

The concrete details now come only from the Gunlake page. The one exception is the short description of what the facility is, which I kept from Grindley’s page because the body needs it for context.
